The fourth annual Tour de South Shore on Oct. 5 is a 25-mile and 50-mile fundraising bike ride that will support research into Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. The McCourt Foundation is the host of the tour, favoring scenic South Shore coastal roads. Teams and individual riders, along with volunteers, can register at TourdeSouthShore.org.
One of the teams competing is Team Driscoll, assembled by Jane Driscoll of Hingham, who owns the Driscoll insurance agency in Norwell. Driscoll said she was working with the McCourts in their construction business and was so impressed by the nonprofit foundation and this event that she signed up. The Driscoll Agency is donating water bottles for 350 riders. For the complete Patriot Ledger article about this event, click here.
