Insurance and the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we want to ensure all employees and clients are taking the proper precautions to help prevent exposure and the spread of the virus.  As a result we are encouraging Insureds to hold conference call meetings versus on-site meetings with our employees.

In regards to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, our Runner is still bringing paperwork to the Registry.  However, if he decides to postpone his services, we will not have anyone available to go to the Registry for our insureds.

We are often asked if there is coverage for claims arising out of an occurrence, and in this instance, for the COVID-19.

Every claim that occurs is unique, and coverage is determined based on the insurance product involved and the facts presented.  If you believe you may have a claim related to COVID-19 Coronavirus, please report it as per the terms of the policy.  Please allow the insurance company to complete their investigation, review and consideration for a formal coverage decision.

Please know that it is not possible for us to offer a general opinion on the existence of coverage due to the varying circumstances and policy forms.

Be assured The Driscoll Agency is carefully monitoring the situation and we are taking action as needed so that we remain ready to support our clients and their insurance needs.
